Breathhold inhance inflow IR (BH-IFIR) with a novel 3D recessed fan beam view ordering

چکیده
Introduction: The combination of arterial spin labeling technique with 3D balanced SSFP (b-SSFP) sequence for data acquisition has been recently used for non-contrast MR Angiography (MRA) in the body . Commonly, a respiratory-gated scan with bellows or navigator gating to detect diaphragmatic shift is performed with a segmented view ordering scheme. However, motion artifacts cannot be avoided in patients with irregular breathing. The data acquisition window is fixed to preserve image contrast, which is determined by the center of k-space with conventional k-space view ordering schemes such as sequential and centric view ordering. In these schemes, the number of segments is usually high, leading to long scan times. The purpose of this study was to develop a breath-hold sequence with a novel and efficient 3D recessed fan beam multi-segmented view ordering scheme.

Non contrast MRA of the Renal Artery: Comparison of Respiratory Triggered IFIR and ECG gated IFIR with Autovoice Guidance for Respiration
Introduction; For evaluation of patients with renal insufficiency or history with adverse reactions, MR contrast media cannot be used. Non-contrast (NC) MRAs with several techniques have been introduced. An investigational version of Inherent Enhancement (Inhance) Inflow IR: InFlow Inversion Recovery (IFIR) technique with FIESTA has been evaluated and respiratory triggered IFIR with FIESTA can ...
متن کاملInhance (Inflow Inversion Recovery) Non-contrast Renal MRA: Comparison with 3D Gadolinium Enhanced MRA in Clinical Patients
Purpose: Contrast-enhanced MR Angiography (CE-MRA) is a widely accepted technique for evaluation of the renal arteries; however, recent concerns regarding the development of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF) after gadolinium contrast agent administration in patients with reduced renal function have emphasized the need for robust non-contrast MRA methods. One such technique is steady state fre...
متن کاملUsability assessment of cone beam computed tomography with a full-fan mode bowtie filter compared to that with a half-fan mode bowtie filter
Background: In intensity modulated radiation therapy, cone beam computed tomography (CT) has been used to evaluate patients prior to treatment. This study conducted a comparative evaluation of the image reconstruction ability of the clinically used half-fan bowtie filter and the full-fan bowtie filter. Materals and Methods: A CT simulation marker was inserted inside a human phantom, and the pel...
متن کاملEvaluation of the renal arteries: Comparison of two types of Non-contrast MRA and Dynamic contrast MRA
Introduction; Dynamic contrast MR angiography (C MRA) has made a major role for evaluation of cardiovascular diseases. For evaluation of patients with renal insufficiency or history with adverse reactions, MR contrast media cannot be used. Non-contrast (NC) MRAs with several techniques have been introduced. Currently, we used two types of MRA; FIESTA with flow preparation pulse (Flow-Prep) base...
متن کاملRobust Free-Breathing Whole-Heart Cine MRI using Multi-Slab 3D Acquisition with Isotropic Resolution and Offline Reformattability
Purpose: Cardiac cine MRI has become a routine exam for assessment of cardiac function and anatomy. Conventional 2D cine requires separate scouting scans to localize different views and at each orientation multiple breathholds are required with patient recuperation time in-between breathholds. 2D cine scans easily consume more than 10 minutes, require greater technologist skill, and significant...
